This training is designed to help substance abuse counselors better understand and respect the cultural identities of racially and ethnically diverse clients.
In this training, you’ll learn how to identify clients’ unique cultural backgrounds, values, beliefs, traditions, social practices, and customs.
You’ll also learn strategies for assessing clients’ identity development and cultural strengths and resources.
You will then apply these principles in clinical settings by developing culturally competent treatment plans with culturally diverse clients.
